 AUA is using the cohort system. That is, the group that is accepted for the first cycle is expected to continue together, through until the end of the programme (2006-2009). A new group will be accepted in 2009 for the second cycle, beginning in 2010. The plan envisions, in each division, 40 students for the pastoral theology group and 40 students for the leadership group. Students financially sponsored by their employers have priority of admission; however, all students must submit a recommendation from their employing organization.

If vacancies occur during the cycle, new students may be accepted. In addition, new programmes may be added before the end of the cycle.

Thus, communication with the Admissions office is indispensable before sending an application.
